Realizing the Club Champlain is the KHL of beer league hockey in Welland, Boychuk made the jump to the WNHL at the start of 20-21 season, becoming the first rookie to be taken the first overall draft pick in WNHL history. This begs the question will he live up to the hype like other fist overall picks like McDavid or Crosby, or will the WNHL have it’s first Alexander Daigle?
