Season: 2022 Playoffs

Pat Riley

Go ahead, make a basketball joke.  He’ll laugh about it while he showtimes you out of your jock at full speed, then buries one cheese bar down on the tendy just for fun.  Riley joined the league during the six pack expansion and quickly established himself as one of the top rookies in the league passing the 20 goal total in his rookie year.   Riley impresses on the ice with his speed and work ethic and is reminiscent of former WNHLer Phil “The Thrill” Busby.  Can Riley parlay this skill into 5 King Street Cup championships like his namesake, so people will say to the other guy “That’s the same name as the guy from the WNHL”

Dino Maddalena

Another defector from Club Champlain hockey, Maddalena joined the WNHL during the six pack expansion and quickly established himself as a dominant center in the league.  He put up a solid rookie campaign with 13 goals and 10 assists, which is even more impressive when you learn that Scotty Mac and Billy T were his wingers for the full season.   Maddalena brings the Grimsby “friendly by nature” attitude to the room, but the 90’s hip hop “naughty by nature” attitude to the ice, as he is one of only two people to ever make Dalton Wilson mad.  (What’s up Cockell)?  This beef was quickly squashed over a pie from Noni’s.

Chicken

Smooth skater, puck mover, named after a small flightless bird.  What more do you need to know about the man known as Chicken.  Joining the league during the six pack expansion, Chicken has been patrolling the blue lines for the Dusters since joining the league, and was quick to learn the main rule about being a Duster, which of course is APB.  Always Pass to Baz.  After battling some injuries, Chicken is looking to re-establish himself as the anchor on the Dusters blue line and Baz’s favourite passer.
