After joining the league last year, it took Dryden a handful of games before he was realized as one of the premium defense men in the league. Strong on the pick, good skating abilities, and a shot that could blister taint makes him an especially lethal weapon. Dryden can also grow a beard in 26 minutes.
Season: 2019-2020
Rob Foster
Fobby Roster entered the league as a hidden gem, and was soon uncovered as a true competitor and a strong hockey player during his tenure with the Stelcobras. A quiet leader, Foster is able to pick up any position required of him, and play both set-up man or finisher. While it might come down to his Scottish roots, Foster is the ‘Braveheart’ of the WNHL, and is ready to prove his worth to any GM willing to take the chance on him. Watch for him to go early.4
Pete Voynovich
Though they call him ‘PeeWee’, his approach is purely beer league. With his signature ‘drape’ move when chasing down opposing players, he has been frustrating forwards since the inaugural WNHL year. After coming close to winning the King Street Cup in 2017-18, Voynovich is ready to burst onto the scene as a fierce competitor and a one-man recon team in search of the elusive hardware. He makes up half of the ‘Art Department’ – the other half being Gielfeldt.
