Playing his junior hockey in Wainfleet, the birthplace of the WNHL, Strohak became known for his grit and tenacity.  Joining the league in the year prior to the six pack expansion, Strohak immediately impressed in his rookie campaign.  While he didn’t dent the twine often, that’s not the job he was paid to do.  He was paid to go into corner, harass defencemen and be an all around nuisance on the ice.  A Sean Avery type player, but without the matinee good looks.  You want numbers?
