The Lincoln Street Legends successfully defended their title at the WNHL Championship on March 28th. Thanks to everyone who came out to support the event sponsored by The Boggio Family of Pharmacies, Rex Hotel, MT Bellies and SS Brand It. The WNHL Community was able to raise $2900 for Positive Living Niagara to help people with HIV, addiction issues and housing security issues. This put brought is to a new single season charity donation total of $16,200 raised for charities across Niagara.

The Rex Hotel also hosted the WNHL Award Show and After Party. Here is a breakdown of your winners!

WNHL Championship Saturday March 28th!

The time for the crowning of the King Street Cup is upon us! Saturday March 28th is the WNHL Championship sponsored by Boggio Family Pharmacies starts at 4pm. All proceeds go to Positive Living Niagara and we are hoping as league to crack the $15,000 mark to give us our highest single season charity total ever! You and your family, friends and community can all be part of that by showing up for our Free Family Skate stay for raffle prizes, the 50/50 and contests through out evening until we award the King Street Cup.

Agenda for the WNHL Championship on Saturday March 28th at the King Street Ice Palace.

4pm – WNHL Free Family Skate everyone welcome (Kids under 12 need helmets)

5pm – Toilet Bowl Game

6pm – Rex Hotel Pizza Cup (Followed by the Centre Ice Shootout)

7pm – MT Bellies Burger Bowl (Followed by the Kids Shootout)

8pm – WNHL King Street Cup Championship Game

930pm – WNHL Afterparty at the Rex Hotel

10pm – WNHL Championship Award Show

Teams and Schedule Set for WNHL March Break Mayhem

Due smaller registration we are going 3on3 this WNHL Mayhem. Champs get a King Can of Beer!

  • All games are 10 minutes – Run Time
  • 10 Player Per Team (plus a goalie)
  • There are no icings, no offsides.
  • Penalties are 2 minutes run time.
  • When the goalie covers the puck, the ref will blow the whistles all offensive players will need to tag the blue line to enter the zone.
  • Face-offs at the start of games and at the start of penalties only. Penalty faceoffs will be in the offensive zone.
  • Wins are worth 3 points, Ties 1 point, Tiebreakers are Head-to-Head, Goals For, third and goal against.
  • Teams can pull the goalie whenever they see fit to break a tie to earn the 3 points.
  • No timeouts.
  • After the round robin the top team will get a bye to the championship and teams 2nd and 3rd will play an elimination game
  • If the Elimination Game or Championship Game is tied after 12 minutes. There will be a 4 minute 3-3 OT and then an NHL Style Shootout to claim the winner of the WNHL Mayhem 3 on 3 tournament.
