February the WNHL is Back!

February is usually for lovers but this year it is for the lovers of greatest beer league known to Niagara. February 2nd the WNHL will return to the ice in Welland and Pelham. The regular season has been extended to March 16th 2022 all games have been rescheduled from January 2022. The five week playoffs that feature every team playing each other once for the coveted two spots to play in the Championship Game for the King Street Cup with start March 23rd and wrap up April 20th (snooch).

The dates for the Rescheduled 3rd WNHL Super Sunday and WNHL Championship in April will be announced soon.

Excited to see everyone back on the ice!

WNHL on Pause for January 2022

Due to Provincial Protocols the WNHL has paused all games and indoor league activities until the first Wednesday of February 2022. Please follow this Website, WhatsApp, Instagram and Twitter for updates on our return to ice plans. Keep fresh and keep healthy.

Update for COVID-19 Protocols

  • Increased mask wearing in the locker room when changing
  • If you do test positive for COVID-19 please inform the commissioner and your team. Actions to take place will depend on when the player in question had a contact with the team and when they tested positive. The best course of action for a close contact is to complete a rapid test and monitor symptoms for the next 14 days
  • If a player tests positives they can return to play after 10 days of testing positive for COVID-19 with a negative test result of a PCR Test (Non-Rapid Tests). Please send an image of the results to the WNHL Commissioner.

All of these protocols are the standard set by the Province of Ontario and the three arenas that we use (Welland, Pelham, Meridian Centre) to ensure access to our arenas.
